How we work.
Two weeks out, then the morning
A haircut photographs best three to five days old, so the wedding-morning appointment is a sharpening visit, not a new cut. The trial two weeks earlier is where the shape is decided — bring a photo of the suit and the parting you plan to wear.
Booking the whole party
Groomsmen are booked into consecutive slots across our chairs, so a party of four is finished in roughly an hour and a half rather than an afternoon. Tell us the ceremony time and we work backwards from it.
Styling that survives the day
For photos we style with matte product rather than shine — gloss reads as grease under a flash. The barber finishes the beard line last, after the cut is dry, so the two lines match in every frame.

When should a groom get his haircut before the wedding?

Three to five days before, or on the morning as a sharpening visit after a trial cut two weeks earlier. A haircut photographs best a few days old, not hours old.
Can you take a whole group of groomsmen?

Yes. We book groomsmen into consecutive slots across our chairs — a party of four is usually finished in about 90 minutes. Tell us the ceremony time when booking.
What does wedding grooming cost at Icon Barbershop?

The 80-minute Full Grooming Experience is €75 with a Barber Stylist, €85 with a Senior and €95 with a Master Barber Stylist. A trial cut is €40 and a wedding-morning haircut with beard is €60.
Do you open early for a wedding party?

We open at 09:00 every day, including weekends. For a ceremony that needs an earlier start, call +31 6 4440 4881 and we will look at it.
Should the groom have a hot towel shave on the day?

Yes, two to four hours before the ceremony. Skin looks best a couple of hours after a wet shave, not immediately after.
